The Adopt-A-Kid program was founded in 1988 by Rosanne Dattalo-Eiternick. It was started as an awareness program for the youth group that she was in charge of. They were told about the less fortunate. They responded with “What can we do? We can’t change anything.” After some discussion the Adopt-A-Kid was born. We can change things by letting the less fortunate know that someone out here cares en

ough about them to buy gifts for them, in some cases, their only Christmas presents. That first year those ten kids adopted 24 foster kids, and bought in 48 Christmas presents, 2 gifts each. (one practical and one impractical)
Last Christmas were took care of around 4500 less fortunate through 16 different agencies. The program now has a combination of 60 schools, churches, companies and individuals. There were 9,000 Christmas presents that were collected, that’s 2 gifts each.
