More than 232 happy dogs (and plenty of coffee) later… ☕🐾

Meet Gayle, host of Gayle’s Dog Haven & Coffee Bar in historic Pasadena. Since opening her Sniffspot in September 2025, she’s created a peaceful place where dogs can run, dig, explore, and just be dogs while their humans get to relax.

The spot has everything from a fully fenced yard and shaded grassy areas to toys, a digging zone, and a water feature.

And for the humans? Gayle offers a free coffee and tea bar because, as she puts it, she wants guests to feel “a little pampered” when they visit.

Gayle discovered Sniffspot after losing her dog, Bear, and beginning to volunteer at a local shelter. She was looking for a way to combine her love of dogs with meaningful work, and Gayle’s Dog Haven was born.

Today, she says one of the things she’s most proud of is the customer service and personalized experience she provides every guest.

Here’s to 232+ happy dogs and many more to come! 🐶

Last month, our August winners were Reed’s Rescue in Maryland, which provides care and a safe place to land for senior and terminally ill dogs, and Salty Animal Rescue, a foster-based, volunteer-run rescue in Ontario helping animals in need find loving homes.

Meet Lauren, host of Private Dog Playground Ranch, SE of Austin - Buda, Texas, a Sniffspot in Creedmoor, Texas where dogs can run, train, explore, and simply enjoy being dogs.

Since starting in May 2024, Lauren has welcomed more than 1,381 dogs. There have been so many happy visitors that she’s stopped trying to count.

What she does know is that many of them return week after week, rain or shine.

Jill’s 2 Acre, Fully Fenced Dog Oasis with Pond, Gazebo, Coffee and Bathroom in Bend, Oregon has room to run, sniff, explore, swim, and get all that energy out safely.

We asked 545 Sniffspot users how Sniffspot has impacted their dogs’ physical health, mental well-being, behavior, and quality of life, and how it’s impacted them as dog parents, too. 🐾

The biggest takeaway? Access to safe, private, off-leash space is about so much more than exercise. Owners told us their dogs are getting more enrichment, experiencing more freedom, building confidence, and living happier lives, while they’re able to spend less time worrying about unexpected dogs, people, and triggers.

For many dogs, especially reactive, fearful, urban, and apartment-dwelling dogs, having a space where they can simply be themselves can make their world a whole lot bigger. 💚
