SAJ Charity Organization (S.A.J.C.O.) is a non-profitable charity organization founded by Alhaji L Jalloh. A citizen of Liberia in West Africa. However, he migrated to Sierra Leone at the age of 4, due to the ongoing civil war. As a young man in Sierra Leone, he grew up in poverty and witnessed more war and almost got initiated into the rebels cult. At the age of 17, He got the opportunity to move to the united states with his family with the help of the resettlement program under the United States Refugee Act of 1980. Alhaji has walked in the shoes of many who lacked the basic necessities of life such as, food, shelter and water. His passion stems from being a victim to becoming a victor. He has overcome great adversity and he is ready to give back to the community and help people in dire need.
Alhaji Jalloh and his team, has dedicated their time and effort to change the face of struggle for the under privileged in Sierra Leone. As a witness himself, it is imperative for the organization to make a change that will impact their well being and propel them towards a better future.
S.A.J. organization is taking the initiative to provide all basic necessities to the less privileged in Sierra Leone. All charitable donations in the United States will be shipped to Sierra Leone. These items includes, dry food, water, clothing, shoes, school supplies et. al.
We plan to put smiles on faces and eliminate sadness and uncertainties. With the help of fellow African societies and individuals, we ask that we come together as one to make a difference.
This organization is more than just giving to the needy. We hope in time to expand by providing education to the youths and medical care to those in need. As once said by a great man and the first African American president of the United States of America, “we as individuals need to be the change that we want to see in the world”.
This is an opportunity for us to be that change in the lives of many. It is a privilege to give and not a duty. Know that no one has ever become poor by giving, so I urge us to join this outreach to genuinely help those in need.
