The Haitian American Lawyers Association of Illinois, Inc. (HALA), is a non for profit voluntary bar Adam

The purpose of HALA is to:

-Articulate and promote the goals and objectives of Haitian American Lawyers

-Foster and encourage professional development and excellence among Haitian American Lawyers

-Promote a greater awareness of and commitment to the civil and political rights of the Haitian American community in Illinois

-Foster and engender relationships among Haitian American Lawyers

-Deve

lop relationships with other Haitian American organizations

-Increase enrollment of and encourage the academic and professional success of Haitian American law students

-Create networking and business development opportunities for Haitian American Lawyers, including taking steps to form relationships with other local and national bar associations

-Providing information and resources for the larger Haitian American community of Illinois

We are excited to invite you and your networks to the upcoming Haitian Flag Day Community Festival on Saturday, May 17, 2025, hosted by the Coalition of Haitian American Organizations in the Chicagoland Area in partnership with Lior’s Café.

📍 Location: Across the street from Lior’s Café, Chicago
🕛 Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
🎉 Admission: FREE

This family-friendly event will feature:

A Flag Raising Ceremony with city dignitaries

Live DJ booth and cultural music

A vibrant Kids Zone with flag painting, face painting, and more

Delicious Haitian food and a vendor marketplace

Local organizations showcasing community resources- we need you to host a table with all of your flyers and information!!!!
