This is an urgent update regarding the IWW workers at Urban Ore in Berkeley.

Urban Ore workers are planning for a work stoppage, in other words a strike, to bring management to their senses regarding bargaining a fair contract.

Background: Urban Ore workers have been at the bargaining table attempting to come to an agreement with management over hours, wages, and conditions of labor. Urban Ore management and their lawyers have done everything in their power to derail negotiations. The likelihood of a strike has been on the horizon for some time now. Preparations are now seriously underway and Urban Ore workers need your help. Essentially, what is needed is an energetic, dedicated, strong presence on the picket line.

The IWW will be reaching out to the rank and file of our Union asking you to walk the line. You will shortly be contacted and asked to participate. We cannot emphasize the seriousness of this action that will be unfolding in the very near future.
