VIBES ON LOGAN ⚡ is a community-funded, vinyl-driven music series rooted in the heart of Logan Square. Founded in 2020 by D.R.E.A.M. and Shazam Bangles, Vibes has grown from a neighborhood gathering on the boulevard into a beloved Chicago summer ritual centered around music, community, and public space. Heading into its 7th season, more than 118 DJs have brought their sound to the grass, creating an eclectic soundtrack spanning genres.
BODY SHOP ⚡ When you hear high tension guitars, charged bass lines, siren-like synths, and driving drum machines, you’re listening to Body Shop. The Chicago outfit, composed of songwriters Kit Dee, Sam Crow, and Lou Larsen, is on a mission to radicalize through gyration. While honoring their disco-punk predecessors, Body Shop redefines the very meaning of its name.
OSEKRE & THE LUCKY BASTARDS ⚡ is a Chicago band, built by way of Brooklyn, at the collision of Afrobeat, punk, indie, and ska — four genres that, as Afropunk put it, are "a match made in heaven." Fronted by Ghanaian-American artist Osekre, the band channels the restless energy of the diaspora: part ancestral rhythm, part New York attitude, entirely its own thing.
