Diane Green has moved forward into the Elton John AIDS Foundation Style Icon contest Quarterfinals, winning her group last Thursday. Nov. 17 (Monday) new voting begins (old votes were reset), with the Semifinals voting ending Nov. 27.
With 10 other quarterfinalists in her group, the winner in votes advances to the Semifinals. People can submit free votes via the LINK BELOW or donate toward the Elton John AIDS Foundation to generate votes.
Diane could win $20,000 if she won the contest; she has been speaking of putting the money into her MUSE nonprofit that creates arts programs in underserved communities.
She is considering starting a sewing and fiber arts program for people in the community around her using her art training from Memphis and later, Chicago. MUSE also works with publishing and painting arts. She had to stop her children's design work for some years after an injury falling.
"I’m looking to have a studio available with sewing machines for others to use to create whatever they want from old clothes or fabrics but to also start back the Ancestor Quilt Project."
Participating in voting helps the ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION raise funds for its mission "to increase access to health care, tackle LGBTQ+ stigma, and end AIDS."
The winner appears in Flaunt magazine and travels to Milan, Italy, to attend Versace’s February 2026 Fashion Show.
