Did you know that Narcan can be administered to dogs? ⁣
⁣
One thing that we have started carrying along with our treats and p**p bags is a 4mg dose of Narcan, which can be administered nasally should either of our dogs accidentally come into contact with an opioid, including fentanyl. 4 mg is the safe dosage for both pets and humans, but please note that it may be necessary to administer more than one dose depending on the amount ingested. ⁣
⁣
𝐏π₯𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞: If you ever get fentanyl or any other opioid on your skin, πƒπŽ ππŽπ“ use hand sanitizer, as alcohol and bleach promote absorption. Instead, use water immediately to wash the skin. You can also use Dawn dish soap.⁣
⁣
As always, please contact your veterinarian with questions!
