This Saturday is the BLACK MATERNAL NEEDS MATTER BABY SHOWER we are hosting with the City of Seat Pleasant where we are showering moms during BLACK MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH WEEK! We are proud to have Seat Pleasant City County Council Vice Chair Shireka McCarthy as a host alongside our Founder Barbara Walters of the Trenches™️ for a day filled with fun experiences and more! Moms will have free maternity shops, diapers, baby products, and even a free dad lounge where fathers can receive free resources!

Hustle Mommies and The City of Seat Pleasant - Government invite you to the Black Maternal Needs Matter Baby Shower. 🤍🍼

Join us on July 25 for a day of celebration, support, and community as we honor moms and families through our Black Maternal Needs Matter initiative.

Black Maternal Needs Matter is an initiative focused on ensuring that mothers and families living in communities impacted by socioeconomic challenges such as gun violence, food deserts, poverty, and limited access to resources receive the support they deserve. We believe that every mother should have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of her zip code or circumstances. By connecting families to essential resources, building community, and creating spaces rooted in dignity and joy, we are working to enhance the experiences of moms and strengthen the well being of entire families.

This is more than a baby shower. It is an opportunity to wrap our arms around expecting mothers, new moms, dads, grandparents, and caregivers and remind them that they are not alone. It is about creating the village that every family deserves.

Whether you’re a mom who is fighting for the community, a single mom of five children who is passionate about the youth, or a mom who is an elected official who fights for public safety WE BELIEVE IN ELEVATING OUR VOICES! We had a blast on the hill fighting at the Capitol with where our Founder is on the leadership team and many of our moms serve on various committees. It’s always a good time to fight for our families!

We at the Hustle Mommies acknowledge Black Maternal Health Week and the fight to save and protect Black moms in this country and beyond. Black moms and babies deserve the same amount of care, support, and resources as any other mom group and we will continue to uplift this through our BLACK MATERNAL NEEDS MATTER initiative. This week we will share resources and more for moms in Chicago and Maryland.
