In the Journal of General Internal Medicine, investigators compared End-of-Life Care Processes and Outcomes among patients in a large Medicare dataset who were cared for by international medical graduates (IMGs) and US medical graduates. They found no difference between the two groups in 6 of 7 outcomes and slightly fewer emergency department visits near the end of life in the IMG group.
