Never check luggage, particularly with kids. They shouldn’t need an entire bag for their stuff, so you can use their bags for some of your things. Pack what you think you need, and then cut it in half. My rule of thumb is clean underwear and socks for every day you will be away plus three, and then tops/bottoms for every day you will be away divided by three. [ 395 more words ]

Beyond what I've already posted about best hotel and restaurants here are a few additional suggestions for travelling to Cabo San Lucas with or without kids. In terms of whale watching January-February is probably the best time to go. Though, we saw 13 separate whales at the end of March, I think we were lucky. I recommend the company Whale Watch Cabo. The main strip in Cabo is what you would expect of any major spring break destination, but hidden beyond the crazy club scene are some amazing restaurants. Los Tres Gallos is one of them. www.lostresgallos.com Beautiful garden restaurant, with twinkling lights and adorable plate/glassware, hidden behind tall brick walls.
