A nonprofit should not have to be around forever! Read this success story from the NYT that shows how some charities are gladly admitting that they no longer need to be open. Vidya envisions a future where all the needs that currently exist are met, and we too can step down to see every child in India with the education they deserve.

Check out this Wall Street Journal article on India's Education System; although this piece focuses largely on college graduates, it can be considered a reflection of primary education as well.

* Half of the India's fifth graders can't read at a second-grade level.

* Cheating, often in collaboration with test graders, is rampant.
