Join us for an evening of sipping, socializing, raffle prizes, and a w**e pull, all while supporting Special Olympics Illinois. Your ticket includes TWO drinks, so bring your friends/coworkers and come raise a glass with us!

Chicago, let’s hear you! 📣

Join us at the Special Olympics Illinois Cheer Station at the Charity Block Party on Sunday, October 11! Cheer on our YPB runners: Celia Frei, Dalton Rodgers, and Kendall Levens, and all of Team SOILL as they take on the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! ❤️

📍 UPDATED TENT LOCATION: Find us at Adams & S Laflin Street, near Whitney Young High School. The SOILL tent is now on the NORTH side of Adams in QUADRANT C. Look for the star on the updated map!

⏰ Cheer shifts: 8–11 AM and 11 AM–2 PM. Head straight to the SOILL tent when you arrive.

🚆 Take public transportation if you can! Nearby L stops are Green Line: Ashland and Blue Line: Racine. Road closures begin at 7 AM, and parking will be limited.

We’ll have cheering supplies ready, but feel free to bring signs, cowbells, and your loudest cheers! Dress for the weather, we’ll be outside.

Let’s kick off Q4 by supporting Special Olympics Illinois athletes! 🏈 Join us at the Region D Flag Football Competition (Parks & Agencies) and make progress toward your volunteer requirements.

📅 Saturday, Oct. 3
📍 La Villita Park, Chicago
⏰ Competition: 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
🙌 Volunteer duties include scorekeeping, timing, assisting with awards, and handing out lunch.

No football experience needed! All volunteers receive a T-shirt and lunch.

Joining the Special Olympics Illinois Young Professionals Board is a great way to meet incredible athletes and connect with like-minded volunteers and professionals. Whether you’re new to the city, looking to make friends or hoping to get more involved, YPB offers a community brought together by inclusion.

Each year, members are encouraged to participate in:

• Three of six bi-monthly board meetings
• Two of more than 30 volunteer opportunities
• One of two fundraising events
• A $500 give/get commitment, the cost of sending one athlete to the State Winter Games

Ticket sales, raffle ticket sales, and donations from you, friends, and family all count toward your give/get commitment. Members who join during the third or fourth quarter will receive a prorated commitment.

Have questions about the requirements? Send us a DM, we’d love to hear from you! Friends and family are also welcome at ALL YPB events and fundraisers.

The YPB team exceeded our goal of 2,000 duck adoptions - we ended up with 2,139 adoptions and raised $11,240!
