African American Family Alliance We are a collaboration of organizations and individuals concerned about the Illinois State budget stalemate, threatening the future of Chicago State Univ.

What if we took our $1.3 Billion in buying power and invested a fraction of it to ensure the Chicago State Univrsity, the closest we have to a historically Black university, remain open, relevant and viable throughout the 2016 year, and beyond. What if we turn the effort to keep CSU open into a national movements to demonstrate our power to maintain our institutions. During this Buy Black time let

s buy into this educational institution? Out of the state of Il,Chicago has the largest spending zip codes on the Lottery. These predominately black zip codes are 60619, 60628 and 60651, but where is the return? We propose we align, with our dollars, to keep Chicago State open, while pushing against taxation without representation. The Governor of Michigan has purposed physical genocide against the children, the Governor of Illinois is creating educational genocide, right in the inner-city of Chicago, under our nose and without shame. Let's act now, create monies now so that we self-direct toward fair education in Illinois. First push the Governor, while creating an endowment, much more sure than the Lottery, to offer a return to residents.
