Public Action for Change Today Public Action for Change Today (PACT) was initiated in 2003 and founded in 2005 as a bold experiment

Public Action for Change Today (PACT) is a broad-based institution of young adults organized for power to produce social change improving the lives of young adults in the Chicago area. To do this we teach and practice the basic skills of public life developed by the leaders and organizers of the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF); the oldest and largest network of community organizations.

Why do we force these kids to meet in class every day, five days a week, up to eight classes a day? Why do teachers have the responsibility to plan and execute lessons all day every day? Under these circumstances, work cannot be productive.
