Today, Cook County Commissioner Elect, Alma Anaya and Evelyn Rodriguez, Advisor for Neighborhood Development and Community Engagement for the Office of the Mayor spoke to our Summer of POWER students!

They spoke to our students about transforming our passion into catalysts of change in our communities!

This week former Governor Pat Quinn came to speak with our Summer of POWER students!

He said there were two things he learned from Cesar Chavez: "si se puede" which speaks to perseverance and "juntos podemos" which speaks to collective actions if we truly want to make a difference.

Yesterday, TRP launched a six-week summer program, Summer of Power, designed to empower students by guiding them through the college planning process and focusing on the importance of civic engagement and how to be a leader. Students have the opportunity to visit and tour a different college each Thursday - yesterday we visited Malcolm X College!

La Casa welcomes our newest residents, french students participating in Seagull Institute's sports management experience here in Chicago!

We are looking for a La Casa Resident Assistant! Must be a graduate-level student or former La Casa resident (now a senior level student!)

Our Resident Assistants serve as mentors, activity coordinators and are instrumental in ensuring that La Casa properties remain safe and secure!
