Our regular weekly garden volunteers were joined by Sam, Tom and a few others, to clean up the pathways between garden beds and install w**d barrier. Your efforts mean that our garden volunteers will have easier access, and can focus on growing healthy, fresh veggies for our clients. Alderman Napolitano stopped in last week for a tour of the pantry. He came with a carload of items from the recent 41st ward food drive. It was great to talk about pantry needs and how to improve the food we offer!

Our amazing volunteers felt VERY Appreciated at our annual event. Shout out to Immaculate Conception Parish Chicago (Talcott) for use of their event space and to Firewater Saloon for the DELICIOUS food!

Stamp Out Hunger is the largest single-day food drive in the nation, spearheaded by the NALC and the US Post Office. Letter Carriers do double duty for this food drive - delivering mail, and picking up food from participating homes. THANK YOU to Letter Carriers and their customers for this large donation.
