Vision
The vision of ABEN is to develop, support and sustain a national network of schools, churches, non-profit organizations, educators (broadly defined), researchers, parents, corporations, foundations and others to serve thousands of students through Saturday STEM Academies and related education and cultural programs and activities to ensure that Black students reach their full potential. More

specifically, we seek to work with partners who are committed to moving toward the provision of African-centered education — to the degree possible within any given environment. Mission
The ABEN mission is to facilitate, through the use of technology and culturally informed research, new and existing best practices necessary for robust professional development, capacity building, problem solving facilitation and technical assistance for a national network partners to foster the success of Black students, regardless of barriers experienced such as institutional and cultural racism.

This is what scientists, mathematicians and doctors look like! This dynamic group of STEM undergraduate and graduate students are the Chicago STEM Mapping Project (C-STAMP) team. Led by The Carver Science Center Founder Dr. Theresa Y. Robinson, Project Mgr. Mr. Sherard Jones and advised by Dr. Maxine Jeremiah and Dr. Ushma Shah.
