The big weekend is here, Supertri Chicago 2026! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

We have so many athletes racing, and for many, it will be their very first triathlon. Let’s show them the full support of our incredible community.

🏕 CTC Tents, Your Home Base
Same as always, we will have two CTC tents:
♦️One at the Swim Start, in the Teams and Charities area on Balbo Dr by the lake.
♦️One at the Finish Festival on Balboa Dr north of Columbus Dr.

💡 CTC Perk: Members can leave their belongings at the Swim Start tent before the race, and our volunteers will move them to the Finish Festival tent so your gear is waiting for you after the race.

Shade, snacks, and beverages provided. A perfect spot to cheer, recover, and celebrate together.

And to all of our members racing this weekend: best of luck! You’ve put in the work, and now it‘s time to shine. We’ll be out there cheering for every single one of you. 💪

🔁 Transition Clinic 101 🔁
At this point, you’ve swum. You’ve biked. You’ve run. But have you transitioned? Whether you’re looking to shave time off your race or just want to make sure you engage in the self-care that will carry you through the finish line, come out for our dry transition clinic.

CTC June Meeting 😎 Meet professional triathlete Amanda Macuiba

We are so excited to welcome Amanda to our June general meeting. Amanda has been racing since college, and turned pro for triathlon in 2025 with two top-10 finishes in the pro field while rocking a 9-5 corporate job as a compensation manager. In addition, Amanda coaches at Vision Quest Cycling, and has a few clients she coaches in triathlon.

Come meet Amanda and hear about her journey as a marathon runner qualified for Olympic trials, and how she became a pro triathlete. We can’t wait to hear about her passion of expanding access to the sport, and helping people achieve their goals!

‼️Extended route:
For those looking to go longer, we’ll continue down to Calumet Park and the Indiana border sign.

👷For the newbie route (2026) and pre-ride checklist, please check Stack App. You have to be a CTC member, wear a helmet, and have a working bike to join the group ride. Safety first!

🔥 CTC TRACK & FURIOUS Thursday track workout is starting this week!

📍Details: Thursday 4/16, 6:30PM at the Montrose Beach Track & Field at Wilson/Lakeshore Drive.

🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️ We will be doing an introductory workout this week that will determine everyone’s baselines for track training.

☕️ Bring your own mug for hot chocolate and connect with other CTCers after the run!

✨ Bonus: we will have a CTC gear give away!

🌤️ Weather: Rain or shine but if there’s lightning, we will alert everyone on the Stack app.

🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️ Clothing: bring layers for converting from day to night. We will have someone to do gear watch!
