The Endeleo Institute brings progress and development to underserved communities through community development and engagement, education enrichment and workforce programs, and health initiatives aimed at improving nutrition and physical health. Founded in 2011, the Endeleo Institute is the umbrella 501(c)(3) Corporation for three longstanding Trinity United Church of Christ nonprofits in Health, E
ducation and Community Development. Endeleo is a public charity that fuses the three overlapping entities into one corporation focused creating a culture of health in the Washington Heights community, specifically along the West 95th Street Corridor. The Community Development Corporation seeks to work with community partners in the development of comprehensive programs focused on the resurrection and transformations of an economically challenged community. In 2000, each corporation officially became three separate 501(c)(3) organizations to better serve the community at large. In 2014, under the direction of Rev. Dr. Otis Moss, III, each entity merged to form The Endeleo Institute. Endeleo is Swahili for progress. ENDELEO-EDUCATION
