Duende Dance Theater

Duende Dance Theater Duende Dance Theater, Inc. promotes public understanding, appreciation, and the practice of the art form of dance. The performers range in age from 7 to 85.

Founded in February of 2001 by Amanda Exley Lower, Duende Dance Theater, Inc. is a not for profit modern dance and theater company. “Duende” is a Spanish word for “spirit”. When a flamenco dancer performs with passion, clarity, and guts, the audience will praise them by shouting “Duende!”. Through professional venues, classrooms, and community centers, Duende brings professional modern dance to th
