Hellenic Society of Constantinople

Hellenic Society of Constantinople We are a philanthropic organization supporting charitable causes in Constantinople and the U.S.A. as well as awarding scholarships based on merit.

The Hellenic Society of Constantinople is a not for profit organization founded in 1939. It was one of the first Societies created in the United States to perpetuate the vast contributions made by the Byzantines, and to preserve the remaining Greek Orthodox churches and nursing home in Constantinople. Today, the Society also provides scholarships to students of Greek descent based on merit, and do

nates to worthy philanthropic causes in the United States. The Society commemorates the Fall of Constantinople annually and, in keeping with our mission to support the religious freedoms of all minorities in Asia Minor and abroad, we support the Patriarchate in Istanbul.
