To achieve its mission, LID:

- Serves as a vehicle for continuing professional education, networking, and relationship-building for Latino fundraisers and other professionals engaged in developing resources for Latino constituencies.

- Increases the visibility and status of Latino professionals within the broader fundraising community and advocates on behalf of communities, challenging exclusion

and discrimination in the philanthropic field.

- Recognizes the philanthropic contributions of Latinos and promotes philanthropic giving to Latino causes.

- Builds alliances with like-minded organizations to promote diversity within the field of philanthropy.

This Friday, Forward Momentum Chicago's Director of Development, Christina Bourné, will moderate a Virtual Workshop presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Chicago! The workshop panelists will explore what it means to put into practice fundraising that centers around community needs.
