Honored to see Walid Habash, a notable Muslim chaplain in the U.S. Air Force, offer an interfaith prayer representing the Muslim community at the National Prayer Service in Washington, D.C.

The service brought together leaders from many different faith traditions, each offering prayers for peace, wisdom, unity, and the future of our nation.

Moments like these reflect the important role faith communities continue to play in fostering dialogue, compassion, and mutual respect across traditions — and the enduring American tradition of people of different beliefs standing together in shared civic spirit.

Leaders of all faiths. One nation. One prayer.

This featured piece, MALA Co-Founder Kalid Loul reflects on why hosting discussions in Arabic is about more than just translation—" What made this conference especially unique was the opportunity to engage in these conversations in Arabic. Language is not simply a tool of communication – it is a gateway to understanding, empathy, and access.”

Our Co-Founder highlights a vital truth: "Holocaust education is both a Jewish and a universal responsibility." By bringing these difficult but essential discussions into the Arabic language, we open new doors to empathy and collective memory. 🕊️

The Muslim American Leadership Alliance (MALA) unequivocally condemns any plot, threat, or act of violence directed at an individual because of their activism, advocacy, or political expression.

There is no place in American civic life for intimidation, extremism, or politically motivated violence. Disagreement does not justify terror. Advocacy must never be met with threats to life or safety.

A free society depends on the ability of people to speak, organize, dissent, and participate in public life without fear of being targeted. When violence becomes a response to civic engagement, it is not only an attack on an individual — it is an attack on the democratic principles that govern this country.

We reject all forms of political violence and call for moral clarity in confronting extremism wherever it appears.

No one should be targeted for exercising their voice in America.

Building bridges through history and education. 🌍✨
We are honored to share highlights from our participation in the regional conference, “The Holocaust in Arabic,” held across the historic landscape of Morocco. From Marrakesh to Rabat, this gathering has been a powerful testament to the necessity of preserving cultural diversity.
A pivotal moment for our organization was the presentation on “The Role of Education in Promoting Holocaust Education”. Our Co-Founder, Kalid Loul, joined esteemed leaders from the American SephardicHeritage, Claims Conference, Kivunim, Association Mimouna and others to discuss how academic modules can serve as a shield against hate speech and mass violence. 🎓🤝
Through visits to Bayt Dakira and the Moroccan Jewish Museum, we explored the shared histories of Jews and Muslims, reaffirming that understanding our past is the first step toward a peaceful future

Eid Mubarak from MALA 🌙

As the blessed month of Ramadan comes to a close, we pause to reflect with deep gratitude—for renewal, for resilience, and for the bonds that connect us to one another.

Eid is not only a celebration of devotion, but a reminder of our shared humanity. It is a time to gather with loved ones, to extend generosity to those in need, and to carry forward the spirit of compassion, dignity, and service that Ramadan instills in us.

At MALA, we are especially grateful for our community—those who continue to lead with purpose, build bridges, and embody the very best of what it means to contribute meaningfully to our nation and to one another.

May this Eid bring peace to your homes, joy to your hearts, and continued strength in the days ahead.

Eid Mubarak!
