Empowered women empower the next generation. 🏛️✨

We had an amazing time connecting at the Her Rising Initiative event in D.C.! The energy in the room was a powerful reminder of this vital truth from the initiative's founder: "Whether you become a mayor, a congresswoman, or a governor... unless you reach your hand back to another woman, you are not a woman in politics."

MALA is proud to champion spaces where leadership is defined by lifting others.

Today, MALA was honored to participate in a vital roundtable discussion at the Cannon Caucus Room on Capitol Hill, exploring Azerbaijan's unique and successful model for religious diversity. 🏛️✨

As an organization dedicated to building bridges and celebrating pluralism, it was inspiring to hear firsthand from prominent faith leaders like Rabbi Zamir Isayev and Pastor Rasim Khalilov. In a world often fractured by division, seeing a secular, Muslim-majority nation where Shia and Sunni Muslims, ancient Christian communities, and Jewish populations live and thrive side-by-side in mutual respect is a powerful case study for global coexistence.

True leadership means fostering spaces where freedom of conscience and diversity are celebrated as universal ideals. Thank you to everyone who joined the dialogue!

Our Outreach director was invited to attend the MAP Town Hall panel in D.C. today, joining His Excellency Ambassador Youssef Amrani, distinguished diplomats, and industry leaders to explore the Morocco-U.S. strategic alliance—a profound relationship nearly 250 years in the making. 🇲🇦✨🇺🇸

Centered on the theme "From Historic Partnership to Strategic Alliance," the forum offered invaluable insights into a deeply rooted legacy. We are constantly reminded of the monumental weight of this history: Morocco holds the distinct honor of being the first nation in the world—and the first Islamic and African nation—to recognize United States independence.

Witnessing these high-level discussions and honoring this enduring bond as a proud Moroccan is an incredible privilege. Together, we continue to build on a foundation of shared history, mutual respect, and strategic growth. 🏛️💼

📢✨ An inspiring period of faith and fellowship!

Our Outreach Director recently joined the fundraising campaign in support of Masjid Muhammad, The Nation’s Mosque. It was incredible to witness the community unite for such a noble cause.

Masjid Muhammad holds a monumental place in history. Established in the heart of Washington, D.C., it is the first mosque in the nation’s capital built from the ground up by American citizens, standing for decades as a global beacon of worship, education, and social justice.

Today, this vibrant landmark is undergoing a crucial renovation and expansion to build classrooms, a library, and larger prayer spaces. 🏗️✨

Your contribution is a beautiful act of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) that will nurture souls for generations to come.

Our co-founder Kalid Loul Kal El attended the "Faith, Freedom, and the Founding" program as part of Festival Sefarad, an inspiring gathering focused on America's first Jewish community and the values of faith, freedom, and civic responsibility that have shaped our nation.

The event brought together scholars, faith leaders, and community advocates to explore the contributions of Jewish communities to American history and the importance of building bridges across diverse backgrounds.

MALA is proud to support opportunities that foster interfaith dialogue, mutual understanding, and stronger relationships among American communities.🕊🌍

Thank you to the American Sephardi Federation, Shearith Israel, the Center for Jewish History, Columbia University, Congregation Mikveh Israel, Providence Magazine, and all participants for hosting this meaningful program.
