As you may know, Senator Durbin recently opposed the passage of the bill S386 in the Senate and proposed a real solution to the current problems. However, supporters of S386/HR1044 are planning to protest at Senator Durbin’s office on Thursday, Oct 10.

If the S386 bill passes, no new high-skilled applicant from any nation, including those graduated from US universities, may obtain the permanent residency for about a decade (see the video below).

Those opposing this bill, are also planning to attend to show their support for Senator Durbin. We also oppose the S386 and encourage everyone who is potentially affected by this bill, to join and express their support for Senator Durbin.

Iranian Student Association (IrSA) is happy to announce that this Friday, September 20th, we are having an event at IIT’ BOG (located in the lower level of Herman Hall)
We are looking forward to see all the new faces as well as returning students. That would be a great opportunity to meet, engage, and of course to have fun.

The event starts at 8:00 pm.
Dinner will be served.
