Chicago Terps

We're the home base for Maryland alumni and fans in Chicago and across the Midwest — the heart of Big Ten country.

The Chicago network of the University of Maryland Alumni Association is one of the newest and fastest-growing chapters in the country, tapping into a pool of nearly 2,500 Maryland graduates in the Chicagoland area. Whether you’re a recent transplant or a Chicago native, a university alum or just a passionate Terps fan, we hope to be a resource for Terps in Chicago who want to connect with each other and celebrate our ties to the university. As the first network to be chartered in the Midwest — in the city with the more Big Ten alumni than any other, and the conference’s headquarters — we’re on the front lines of one of the biggest changes in the university’s history, as Maryland is set to join the Big Ten in July 2014. The members of our network are excited to engage with others in the Chicago community and all of the Midwest and represent the Alma Mater proudly. Check this page regularly to learn more about upcoming events, networking opportunities and more.
