Recruiting volunteers to march with AVER (American Veterans for Equal Rights), Chicago Chapter, in the Memorial Day Parade, Saturday, May 24. Please let me know. We meet up on Wacker Drive near State Street around 11am. We will be done by 2pm. Many of our LGBTQ+ veterans are in their 80s and no longer able to march to carry the AVER banner and Color Guard flags. We will also be looking for people to march in the Chicago Pride Parade!! Thank you!! Look for the maroon car with the AVER sign on the roof!

I send care packages overseas every year to support our troops. If you care about our military servicemembers and veterans, consider making a donation to the USO or to other service organizations with DAV or Wounded Warriors. Thank you! Happy Holidays!

We can never repay the incredible service and sacrifice our troops make on our behalf every day. But we must try. Help the USO be there for our troops whether they're serving far from home or healing with honor.
