HELP FILIPINO FAMILIES AS FLOODING CONTINUES IN THE PHILIPPINES

Heavy monsoon rains continue to flood communities across the Philippines, damaging homes and leaving families without essential supplies. In some areas, floodwaters have remained for more than a week, putting families at greater risk as they struggle to access food, clean water, medicine, and other basic needs.

Families need help now. Your donation can provide immediate relief to communities facing prolonged flooding and help families get through the days ahead.

Donate today and help bring relief where it is needed most.

We're proud that Gawad Kalinga USA has earned Candid's Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition for nonprofit accountability and impact.

Candid (formerly GuideStar) is the nation's leading source of nonprofit information, helping donors evaluate charities based on transparency, financial stewardship, and measurable results.

Fewer than 0.7% of the 1.7 million+ registered nonprofits in the U.S. achieve this distinction. Platinum status reflects a commitment to transparency, measurable outcomes, strong governance, and responsible stewardship of donor support.

Thank you to our donors, volunteers, and partners for helping us create lasting impact for communities in need. 💙

We are pleased to share a milestone with you.

GK USA has officially received the 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, the highest level of recognition given to nonprofits for accountability. It means that our financials, our strategic goals, and our program results are completely open to the public.

At GK USA, we believe that sustainable community development requires deep trust. When you invest in our mission, you deserve to know exactly how your funds are creating a lasting impact.

This recognition directly reflects the integrity of our programs on the ground in the Philippines, from building safe housing to providing critical education support and livelihood opportunities through Gawad Kalinga.

We are truly grateful to our donors, partners, and volunteers. This achievement is a testament to our shared commitment to ending poverty.

Last June 8, a powerful earthquake struck several provinces across Mindanao, including South Cotabato, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, and nearby areas. Many have lost loved ones, others are injured, and many are now sleeping in open spaces, waiting for food, clean water, and basic supplies.

Even if you are in the US, you can still help. For as little as $15, you can help provide emergency relief and support recovery efforts for affected families, including food, clean water, and essential supplies.

GK USA is working with Team GK, which is currently mobilizing help on the ground to respond and support families in need.
Please keep affected families in your prayers and consider making a donation today.

What if the next text message you received said: “Our house is gone.”

For many families in Mindanao, that fear has become reality.
