Piping plovers El and Bean have made a new home at 63rd Street beach

The chicks have been spotted at the South Side beach since Monday, after fleeing Montrose Beach, where a red-tailed hawk killed their sibling, Ferris. The three hatched June 20 to plover pair, Imani and Searocket.
