Emphasis is placed on David from the Bible as a young boy who possessed great character. He was skilled in leadership and strength competition at a young age and became a great warrior and king. Our objective is to instill in each camper the ability to improve their social skills to become a better individual at home, school, and within their community and on the basketball court. des an age based development program incorporating exercise and various basketball drills, including but not limited to dribbling and shooting. We provide a safe, fun, and positive learning experience with special attention on character development and sportsmanship. Camp David stresses the value of listening, following directions, and working the concept of being a team player. Camp David is an enjoyable, safe, and fun learning experience for children from Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. CAMP DIRECTOR
Mark Stennis is a graduate of Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, Illinois. Mark was also a 4 year letterman at Hinsdale Central and played throughout his college career as a starter on the Concordia Chicago University basketball team. Each summer, while in college, Mark returned to assist in the Hinsdale Central basketball community camp, as well as a basketball coach & instructor for One-on-One Basketball Program. Dorothy’s School in Chicago since 2009 where he provides a holistic approach to movement education integrating cognitive physical and emotional education learning for students pre-school through eighth grade. He continues to sharpen and maintain his basketball skills by playing on Pro-Am teams throughout the city.
