Mateo 14:13-21
Jesús desembarcó, vio a la gente, y sintió compasión de ellos y sanó a los enfermos.

Después de las enseñanzas del Reino de Dios, el ministerio de Jesús continúa. Se entera de la muerte del Bautista y se va a un lugar apartado, pero mucha gente se da cuenta y lo siguen. Cuando Él ve la multitud, tiene compasión de ellos y sana a muchos.
Los discípulos también tienen compasión de las personas, se conmueven de que no han comido y que no tienen para comprar algo, Jesús les pide que les den de comer, le contestan que sólo hay cinco panes y dos peces. Ora por esa comida y con ella se alimenta a más de 5,000 personas.
Hacer grande el Reino, significa mirar con compasión a las personas más desprovistas, que nos duela su necesidad, y que seamos movidos a apoyarles, a compartir la mesa con ellos. Con estás acciones les mostramos que para Dios son importantes.
Los sistemas que nos gobiernan siguen siendo injustos, pero las y los habitantes del Reino de Dios debemos mirar con la compasión de Jesús, a las personas más necesitadas y crear alternativas que les muestren que Dios les ama y está con ellos.

Matthew 14:13-21
When he went ashore, he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion for them and cured their sick. Matthew 14:14
After teaching about the Kingdom of God, Jesus’ ministry continues. He learns of John the Baptist’s death and goes to a secluded place, but many people find out and follow him. When he sees the crowd, he has compassion on them and heals many.
The disciples also have compassion on the people; they are moved by the fact that they have not eaten and have no money to buy food. Jesus asks them to feed the crowd, and they reply that there are only five loaves of bread and two fish. He prays over that food, and with it, more than 5,000 people are fed.
To expand the Kingdom means to look with compassion upon the most destitute, to be pained by their need, and to be moved to support them and share our table with them. Through these actions, we show them that they are important to God.
The systems that govern us remain unjust, but as inhabitants of God’s Kingdom, we must look upon those most in need with the compassion of Jesus and create alternatives that show them that God loves them and is with them.
