Meet Lucky, a soft, snowy-white charmer with a pink nose, subtle tabby freckles, and a personality that lives life at full volume.

Lucky is known for his social skills. He’ll walk right up to guests, rub against legs and feet in greeting, and politely (but persistently) request scratchies if he feels he’s being overlooked. Affection comes easily to him, whether that’s curling up beside you on the couch, joining you in bed for a nap, or keeping you company just because he wants to be where the action is. When Lucky isn’t cuddling, he’s moving. Think Sour Patch Kid energy: sweet one moment, zoomy the next!

Lucky thrives with other cats, especially companions who can chase and keep up with his playful style. Lucky would be best suited for a cat-savvy home that can match his energy and cues, along with a human that can offer plenty of play, structure, and love.

Sweet and endlessly endearing, Lucky lives up to his name, and whoever adopts him truly will be. Lucky was born in the fall of 2024.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Lucky, please contact Toni McNaughton at [email protected] and Lisa Ward at [email protected]. Please tell us a bit about your situation, what you are looking for, the composition of your current household (the other humans and/or pets who already live there). Inquires with these questions answered are responded to promptly.

We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at [email protected] or Lisa Ward at [email protected] to learn more. Photos by Brenda Stewart.

Debbie and Dottie are bonded, striped and spotted sisters with plenty of personality and a lot of love to give. They are very affectionate, charming and social.

Dottie is the more athletic of the two. She’s playful and even asks to play fetch before flopping down in your lap for a long nap.

Debbie is the cuddler. She likes to start her day cuddling with you and will greet all your guests with snuggles and sweet looks.

Together, these girls are playful, curious, and very entertaining. They love chasing string toys, racing through the house during zoomies, making little squeaky comments while they play, and then crashing for naps side by side or with you. They get along with other cats and be fine children. Debbie and Dottie were born June 17, 2024.

Cinnamon Bun is a beautifully patterned young cat whose orange-and-black markings create a striking swirl. She is very friendly and will greet you at the door to show you lots of love and affection. Cinnamon Bun is a devoted companion who checks in often and requests her favorite form of affection: gentle forehead pats and head scratches!

Cinnamon Bun has a balanced energy level, enjoying bursts of activity with strings, toy mice, and balls, followed by happy retreats to her cat bed. She loves starting out the day watching birds from the window or chasing after some pickle balls around the house. At night, she likes to sleep close to her human at the foot of your bed. She’s so smart that she’ll come to you when she needs anything, if ever, so you’ll never be met with too many surprises.

Cinnamon Bun would do best in a home without another cat as she can get really settled in the home and prefers to have her humans to herself. She’s indifferent about dogs so long as they respect her space. An active household where she gets plenty of interaction would suit her well and she’s so smart and well behaved that she’d make a great companion to children. Affectionate and loyal Cinnamon Bun is ready to curl up beside you and make herself at home! Cinnamon Bun was born fall of 2024. Photos by Brenda Stewart.

While his name is Mr. Joey, he could easily be called Dr. Love. This big fella has a heart of gold and couldn’t hurt a fly if his life depended on it. He’s as sweet and chill as a cat comes. A BIG ol’ softie through and through!

While he’s mostly interested in food and the company of his human, he does enjoy some light play throughout the day. He lives for laser tag and rubbing his face on catnip toys. What’s his favorite hobby, you ask? Neighborhood watch! If he isn’t on your pillow or by your side, he’s keeping an eye on your block’s comings and goings FREE of charge.

If you’re in need of a boyfriend or a BFF, Mr. Joey is the guy for you! Joey would do great as a solo cat, but doesn’t mind the company of a calm, cool and collected kitty. Mr. Joey was born around February 14, 2021.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Mister Joey, please contact Toni McNaughton at [email protected] and Lisa Ward at [email protected]. Please tell us a bit about your situation, what you are looking for, the composition of your current household (the other humans and/or pets who already live there). Cheeto’s life purpose is simple and nonnegotiable: the purr-suit of maximum fun. Cuddle time? He’ll get your attention with the sweetest meow and then remind you with a gentle head butt that two-handed pets are preferred. Playtime? He’ll chase toy mice across slippery floors, bat, swipe and hunt string toys, and adores catnip and catnip-filled toys! People time? He greets newcomers, loves to lie on a lap and get chin scritches, and wouldn’t dream of sleeping anywhere other than next to his human at night. Litter-box time? One of his most impressive talents is his dedication to burying his business—he will enthusiastically use every available ounce of litter to cover up.

And in between times? You might find Cheeto gazing thoughtfully out of a window, working out at his scratching post or just hopefully hanging out near his human. (If you’re busy, he’ll scamper off and wait for a better moment.) Cheeto with love a feline companion to share time with and play.

Outgoing and curious, easy-going, affectionate and playful, Cheeto would do well in a social household as long as he has a calm cat-cave to retreat to for recharging his batteries. Cheeto was born in 2023.

Meet Patty, a darling, petite cat with impossibly big eyes that seem to sparkle with curiosity. Her gentle charm and endearing expressions make her the instant favorite of anyone lucky enough to meet her.

Playfulness is at the heart of who Patty is. Whether she’s pouncing on her favorite crinkly toys, or darting through sunbeams like a mischievous shadow, she brings a lively energy to every room she enters. Her boundless enthusiasm turns even the simplest objects into adventures waiting to happen.

Yet for all her spirited antics, Patty is just as devoted to cuddles. The moment she tires from her playful escapades, she melts into soft blankets or cozy laps, purring with contentment. With her big, expressive eyes and gentle snuggles, Patty has a way of making everyone feel loved, proving that she’s not just adorable, she’s unforgettable.

Patty was born around February 22, 2025. She gets along well with other cats and would likely do well in a home with older children.

We are so happy to announce that Teddy has found his forever home. Not only is this good news for Teddy and his new family, but it is good news for all the cats waiting at a shelter we partner with because it means that a foster home has opened up and we can bring in another cat and help them find their furever home.

What would be great is if we could bring in multiple cats next week, but we can't do that unless we have more foster homes to put them in. Maybe your house can be a kitty cat foster home! If you live in Chicago and aren't ready to adopt or want to find out what living with a cat is like (it's pawsome, trust us), reach out to us to see if fostering will fit your lifestyle.

If you are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at [email protected] or Lisa Ward at [email protected] to learn more.

Misty is a playful, confident girl who has a sweet and affectionate side. She enjoys cuddles but is not needy and forms strong bonds with her person.

Misty has lived alongside other cats and is comfortable with their presence, but she would likely thrive as the only cat in the home where she can truly be the center of attention. Misty is best suited for an adult-only home or one with older teens who understand and respect feline boundaries.

Misty loves playtime, enjoys observing her surroundings, and has just the right amount of sass to keep life interesting. Misty is ready to find a forever home where her personality can shine and her bond with her person can grow strong.

If you’re looking for a cat with character, charm, and heart, Misty may be your girl. Misty was born May, 2025.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Misty, please contact Toni McNaughton at [email protected] and Lisa Ward at [email protected]. Owen has mastered the art of being everyone’s favorite little sidekick. He’s the kitty who wants to follow you from room to room, supervise whatever you’re doing, and make everyday moments feel sweeter just by being there.

What makes Owen especially special is how gentle and easygoing he is. A crying baby and a barky Chihuahua didn’t bother him one bit. He stayed calm, curious, and close by, perfectly content to watch the action with his big round eyes and quiet little purrs.

Owen’s playful side comes out in adorable bursts of energy. He loves darting after wand toys, wrestling with his kitty friends, and proudly following his “big brother” cat around like a young apprentice learning all the important cat things.
When the adventures are over, Owen is happiest curled up nearby, handing out soft head nudges and keeping you company wherever you are. Owen was born
March 23, 2025.

Meet Teddy, at eleven years old, those golden eyes will find you the moment you walk through the door, and from that point on, you are his person. Teddy is the Pink Panther of cats: his raccoon-striped tail will always be one step behind you, curious about whatever you're up to.

When he's not conducting his investigations, he gives biscuits every chance he gets. At night, he insists on being in contact, so expect a warm, purring companion close by. Teddy plays beautifully with other cats and lights up any room he walks into. His social energy makes him the undisputed life of the party, and Teddy is simply a sweet, devoted boy who wants to be exactly where his people are. He would thrive in a home with feline friends and someone around often to enjoy his company.

If you're looking for a loyal, funny, deeply affectionate companion who will follow you everywhere and love you wholeheartedly, Mister Teddy is ready for his forever home.
