Cleanup at GRANT BARK PARK tomorrow 9A-11A. Last Sunday was miserable out so we rescheduled to Saturday Oct 25th. If you have time please come and help us do some needed maintenance at GBP! We'll have gloves and tools and a list of things to do. And please let us know what YOU think needs to be done, too!

A group of awesome volunteers helped clean up Fred Anderson Park Dog Park on Saturday. We are planning to clean up Grant Bark Park on Sunday October 19th from 10 AM to noon. Please consider joining in the effort! We'll provide all of the tools, and hope to see you there.

So excited to share this event with our friends with dogs and with kids happening a week from tomorrow at Fred Anderson Park Performance Area and Fred Anderson Park Dog Park! Do you have a gentle dog that would like to interact with children some day? You can find out more about this program here. Do you have or know someone with young children? Sit Stay Read will be giving away lots of books and other school supplies to the first 75 children who attend. Come on out and support this wonderful organization at one of our favorite parks!

We have not been able to have this annual event since before the pandemic. The South Loop Dog PAC and South Loop Neighbors are bringing back, the Wiggles & Giggles Halloween Bash! We hope you will join us for this fun Halloween Celebration, Saturday October 21st from 1:00-4:00 PM at Fred Anderson Park.

The event is generously sponsored by Burnham Park Animal Hospital and South Loop Animal Hospital. More details coming soon.

Puppet Tap BOP! at Fred Anderson Park is presented as part of the Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks series, supported by the Mayor’s Office and Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. The Night Out in the Parks program presents cultural events year-round in neighborhood parks throughout the city. The Chicago Park District in partnership with 100 local artists and organizations, present engaging events, and performances that enhance quality of life across Chicago and amplify the artistic and cultural vibrancy in every neighborhood. Through multiple disciplines, which include theater, music, movies, dance, site-specific work, nature programs, and community festivals, the series aims to support Chicago-based artists, facilitate community-based partnerships and programs, cultivate civic engagement, and ensure equity in access to the arts for all Chicagoans.
