Participatory Budgeting - vote for a better Dog Park!

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X3KRBQG

Grant Park Participatory Budgeting opens this month. The Chicago Park District is asking Chicago residents to vote online (or in person at Maggie Daley Park Fieldhouse or Women’s Park and Garden), ranking three options:

Dog-Friendly Area Redesign at 9th & Columbus

Bathrooms at 9th & Columbus

Benches & Picnic Tables

The 2026 Grant Park Framework Plan included a planned expansion of Grant Bark Park. This is your chance to ask the Chicago Park District to allocate funding towards expanding and improving the park!

Dog park users, let’s get out and vote!!

Voting will be available 9/1/26-9/30/26. Note that they ask that only residents age 13 and older vote, so be sure to indicate both your zip code and age on the form.

So excited to share this event with our friends with dogs and with kids happening a week from tomorrow at Fred Anderson Park Performance Area and Fred Anderson Park Dog Park! Do you have a gentle dog that would like to interact with children some day? You can find out more about this program here. Do you have or know someone with young children? Sit Stay Read will be giving away lots of books and other school supplies to the first 75 children who attend. Come on out and support this wonderful organization at one of our favorite parks!
