Chicago Disability Activism Collective The Chicago Disability Activism Collective (CDAC) is a cross disability rights coalition for expanding the power of the disability community across Chicago

The Chicago Disability Activism Collective (CDAC) is working to engage and empower people with a variety of disabilities around the city to come together at a summit. During the summit, people with different disabilities will discuss common issues and inform each other of issues they may know less about. At the summit, we will decide which issues must be addressed, and we will work to take actions

to together build a more accessible, accepting Chicago. We want as many voices heard during the planning of that summit as possible, hoping that it is the beginning of a powerful, sustainable group. Values:
Building empathy and understanding of each other's issues
Building a connected, cohesive disability community
Developing the next generation of leaders
Developing strong relationships

We are writing to make an announcement that is not easy for us. CDAC is ending its day-to-day operations and we'll be deleting this page in the next few weeks. We appreciate everyone who has supported CDAC over the years helping elevate conversations about economic justice, and accessibility in social justice work that larger groups are forced to have now and building a recognizably supportive community while doing it. While we're ending our operations here we still have funds from our Emergency Accessibility Fund to help with other disability-related events. Please send us a message regarding that before we delete this page. Once again thank you all for supporting The Chicago Disability Activism Collective.
