Full Moon 5k Fundraiser for Taft XC/TF!
We are excited to announce that this year's Full Moon 5k is on July 29, at 7:30pm! The race begins and ends on Hurlbut, right between Taft HS and Norwood Park.

This race is chip timed and you get a tech running t-shirt! There are 5k and 1-mile options, and this is for all ages. Chicago Full Moon Run is a fun-filled neighborhood charity race and all proceeds are donated to the MS Society of Greater Illinois and Taft's XCTF program.

🏈🦅 The Girls Flag Football season may be a little shorter, but the future of the sport has never been brighter!

Girls Flag Football continues to grow rapidly across Illinois, creating more opportunities for student-athletes and expanding the game we all love. As proud CPL Champions, Taft Girls Flag Football has been at the forefront of this rapidly growing sport. We look forward to continuing to compete at the highest level while helping shape the future of girls flag football in Illinois.
Taft is also proud to be a leader in the flag football community, partnering with the Chicago Bears on events like these and helping promote the growth of the sport throughout our city and state including hosting our suburban schools.
We're excited for another great season of competition this fall!

🩶 💙 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 💙 🩶

The musicians of Taft Bands set out to raise $10,000 over the past month ... and nearly hit the goal! The total amount raised between the Vertical Raise platform and direct donations was $8,507.

This will give Taft Bands a major boost toward supporting and improving the entire program for the 2026-27 school year. It will help offset vital expenses like music licensing, instrument purchases and repairs, registration fees for competitions and festivals, travel and lodging for off-campus events, and so much more.

School is out for the summer, and although the Vertical Raise campaign has ended, if you would like to make a contribution to Taft Bands, you can do so via the Taft Band Boosters website anytime!

Dear Taft Community,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for "Taft's Summer Nights at the Real Rydell"! It was absolutely incredible stepping back into the '50s together for our first outdoor screening of Grease at the TAFT VC FIELD. We had a spectacular night under the stars, and we are so grateful to our wonderful community, amazing volunteers, and local vendors for making it such a safe, smooth, and fun experience for everyone.
