It looks like it will be hot on race day!

We will be taking precautions, details of which will be announced in your pre-race emails. In the meantime, take a look at these tips on how to race in the warm temps! Thanks, Coach Robyn from EDGE Athlete Lounge!

3 Tips for Racing in Warm Temps:

Pace yourself – Don’t start out too fast! Keep that first mile a little slower will let your body adapt to the heat and keep your HR more controlled, meaning you can have a stronger rest of race.

Electrolytes are your BFF – Use them the day before and during the race to combat dehydration and cramping (Carrying them on you means you know where they are, and you can grab water on the course)

Light Gear FTW – Wear loose, lightweight, moisture-wicking gear that dries quickly to help you regulate your temperature.
