Tomorrow, 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟖𝐭𝐡, 𝐚𝐭 𝟓 𝐏𝐌, the Peace Corner Youth Center will be welcoming Adebola Oshipitan to lead a session with our high school students about preparing for college, searching for scholarships, and navigating the world as a young, black professional.
Adebola received his 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐦𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 in 2022 through QuestBridge’s College Match program. Throughout his studies, he worked as an Emergency Medical Technician with Northwestern University and a Research Assistant with Harvard University. After graduation, he traveled the world as a Watson Fellow conducting research on how black culture is perceived and appropriated across the globe. He is back in his hometown of Chicago and will be continuing to conduct research, along with pursuing his passions as a writer, photographer, and part-time model.
