Happy Heavenly Birthday Sima

Today marks the birthday of my little daughter, Sima, who was born in July 1992. Tragically, we lost her in the Bam earthquake on December 26th, 2003.

Sima had a strong and fearless spirit. She was popular in school for standing up to bigger kids to defend smaller children. Despite her small size, she was a black belt in karate, a multiple-time tournament award winner, and the karate student of the year. She trained every day, including weekends and summers, often 2 to 3 times daily. Sima also had a special love for SpongeBob.

We miss Sima very much and continue to honor her memory.

Honoring Zahra, a special mom!!!
To every mother, with love and the most sincere salute I like to thank you for giving the greatest gift possible to continue civilization and humanity. From the very beginning stage when your child is being formed, you take the highest responsibility of motherhood with pleasure, joy, and love you make your child the first and highest priority. Once the baby is born with unconditional love you feed, love, and care for the child; you keep him/her company until the child starts activities, education, and eventually grows up. During these times you are almost always present to watch, mentor, and guide your child and you continue with all the responsibilities such as being the cook, the driver, the landlady, and the housekeeper with the highest paycheck which is unconditional love. You also work hard to keep the rest of the family happy, healthy, and successful every day and forever. I believe the mother is the great gift of the highest God’s creation. Mother is truly the root and foundation of the principal responsibility for human reproduction. I bow to you today and every day for all you do. Thank you mothers for making the future possible and bright. Happy Mother’s Day. Sincerely Mahmoud.

Open House be our guest 12.26.
Monday is the 19th Anniversary of the Bam Earthquake. Tens of thousands of people got killed. Bam was destroyed.
Zahra and Sima plus more than 60 family and friends lost their lives.
We are Honoring the people of Bam and the Memory of Zahra and Sima.

10:00- 11:00 age ten and up to adults.
Free Karate Training Kata Bunkai, and Self-Defense.

11-12:30 Free Children’s Karate training followed by pizza party (5 - 13 years of age) - Open to the public; perfect for our Children and their friends.

11-12:30 Free Women’s self-defense and intro to Karate (13+ years of age) - Open to the public and our Women and young women)

Friday morning Bangladesh delegation arrived, and we had a full day activity. Friday evening Senseis and Karate practitioners from Romania, Ukraine, members of excutiveve branch of Bangladesh Karate, karatekas from Afghanistan, Morocco, and Uzbekistan,

Yesterday I walked into a restaurant, and I saw
Ilya Potapenko after many years.
He was training karate with ITKA Karate while he was in Jr. High school,
Now he is professional, married, and has 2 wonderful children.
