Owen Muir MD is dual-board certified Child and Adult Psychiatrist with a focus on health benefits as the driving force behind better mental health. He is an official Mentalizing Treatment Supervisor through the Anna Freud Centre in London, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine, and an NIMH funded researcher on the use of AI to guide psychiatric treatment. His publications include "Adolescent Su***de and Self Injury: Mentalizing Theory and Treatment", by Springer Nature, in 2020, and 200+ peer-reviewed publications and keynote presentations across a range of settings.

He has presented keynotes at Spotify's Post Pandemic Homecoming; the Association for Emergency Psychiatry (AAEP), the International Conference on Emergency Medicine, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, APA, NUBE, CTMSS, NASSPD, and numerous academic conferences. He was a visiting lecturer teaching architecture students at Pratt School of Design, trains medical science liaisons at Key Opinion Leader Summits, and writes a daily health newsletter - https://thefrontierpsychiatrists.substack.com/

Dr. Muir is a multiple-time founder, and currently is SVP of Strategy for Acacia Mental Health, bringing advanced fMRI guided brain stimulation treatments to market for depression, PTSD, OCD, and other neuropsychiatric conditions. He has served as a principal investigator in psychedelic medicine and artificial intelligence studies and is an international expert in neuromodulation with transcranial magnetic stimulation, and is a co-author on the largest datasets of that brain stimulation treatment of depression and obsessive compulsive disorder yet published.

All of this is maybe impressive, but his personal experience as a patient receiving psychiatric care is what makes his message compelling. He is a physician who works with people who have lost all hope. This comes with seriously humbling experiences. Dr. Muir is a relatable human. He wears Converse every day. A deep dive into his past will reveal his prior life as a recording engineer and musician, with over 40 albums to his credit and several full-length records as a bandleader.

Akerah Mackey, MPP, SHRM-CP is a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practitioner with a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Her career in DEI began overseas in Dublin, Ireland, working for a nonprofit, collecting data, and conducting analysis to support the equity efforts ofthe Traveller Movement. She also pushed the policies and goals of DEI in the U.S. as she has worked in local government, campaign research, and education policy. But found her passion in non-profit employee development. She prides herself on her work to further equity and inclusion policies within her community and around the U.S. Akerah has won three awards for her efforts to create inclusive communities, the most recent being the Kreisman Award from the Mansueto Institute for Innovation. She recently joined The Salvation Army USA Central Territory as the new Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Training Manager for eleven states.

A fantastic speaker and panelist, Akerah was Willamette University's Martin Luther King Keynote Speaker. She was a speaker at Argentum's Annual Conference; the leading national association exclusively dedicated to supporting senior living companies. She was also invited to speak on Black Joy and the Professional Experience for MyGwork, a Global Networking Hub and Job board For LGBTQ+ Professionals in the U.K.

And last but not least, at the end of 2021, she was a panelist for Prismatic, a youth development program on uovercoming adversity. At the start of 2022, she was an interactive panelist speak on actionable ideas and tools to support the organization DE&I strategies. Akerah has also written for various magazines and journals, sharing her expertise on DEI.
