Who we are....

For 30 years EVYP has offered high-quality college resource and support services to first-generation, college bound youth. Starting our journey in the East Village neighborhood of Chicago in 1989, today EVYP serves our students and their families at our location in the Avondale community. EVYP is an organization that is working towards equity in education with a predominantly low income/economically distressed community. The mission of EVYP is to prepare Chicago students to become first generation college graduates. EVYP’s goal of college access aims to provide youth with the knowledge and resources they need to navigate the education system and into higher education. EVYP strives to create a culture of achievement that empowers underserved youth, their families and the community to access and utilize education to lead more fulfilling lives.
