Illinois PIRG Illinois PIRG, the Illinois Public Interest Research Group, is a state-based, citizen-funded advocacy group that promotes the public interest.

The focus of our get big money out of politics campaign this fall is making sure candidates address this issue. Illinois PIRG is a nonpartisan public interest advocacy organization and we do not support or oppose candidates or political parties.
