Rescue, Release and Restore RESCUE, RELEASE, RESTORE fosters a community created for listening, teaching and responding to the needs of young children.

Rescue, Release, and Restore.
“We foster a community created for listening, teaching and responding to the needs of young children.”

The Rescue, Release, and Restore camping experience is an experience of a lifetime for young African American youth, ages 8-17, who are interested in being challenged to their full potential in life. By rescuing gifts, releasing potential and restoring the promise of our youth within their communities, RRR’s mission transforms the self worth and empowers at risk youth through leadership training, artistic expression and mentorship.

It is with a heavy heart that we share, our beloved Baba has gone to be with our ancestors. We reflect on his life and legacy. His impact was our foundation and we are better for his example.

May God cover all. Ashe'🙏🏾🕊️

There will forever be only one person in Simbaland who will be referred to as "the Baba" ... If humility was a super power he would own the patent indefinitely.

Since our first camp in 1994, the Baba has been the one person who has touched Simbaland in every year of our existence. Watching him "give a duck" was another example in the many lessons learned in his presence.

He is among the many that have truly made Simba Camp and experience of a lifetime!

The afternoon before the last day at SIMBA camp a blue butter fly shows up... the Elders always receive their hoodies first. It was confirmation that we are right were we need to be.
