Our midterm outreach program at the Sub-Divisional Hospital Mutengene was a success! In line with World Environment Day on June 5th, we hosted a workshop on refuse management around hospital premises. The date was especially significant, it marked not only a global call to environmental action but also the birthday of WHP’s founder, a tradition we honor every year with a meaningful community project.
We were thrilled to have over 65 participants, including hospital staff, patients, and student nurses. The interactive session was well received, and our donation of trash cans was appreciated. The hospital expressed a heartfelt request for an incinerator to improve waste disposal, which WHP will take into thoughtful consideration.
This initiative reflects the mission of Wholesome Health Promotion (WHP) to empower communities through health education, sustainable solutions, and inclusive engagement. We believe real change starts with awareness and action at the grassroots level.
