We need 100 book bags. Right now we have 24. 🎒

9 days out and every empty bag is a student who walks into the first day of school without what they need. We’ve seen that kid. Some of us were that kid.

Here’s how you close the gap & it only takes about two minutes:

📚 SAVE THE DATE!!!

The countdown to a new school year has officially begun.

For many students, the first day of school brings excitement, fresh notebooks, and new opportunities. For others, it comes with the stress of wondering if they’ll have the supplies they need to start the year.

That’s why we’re proud to announce the return of our Beating the Odds Back-to-School Initiative.

On Saturday, August 15, we’ll be coming together to equip local students with backpacks, school supplies, and encouragement because every child deserves to walk into the classroom feeling prepared, confident, and supported.

But we can’t do it alone.

Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, sponsor the event, or shop our wishlist, you’re helping create a stronger start for students across our community. Every backpack filled, every hour volunteered, and every gift given helps remind a child that they’re not walking into this school year alone.

Our Christmas initiative was another great success! By the grace of God and with your continued support, we were able to share the joy of Christmas with 2 families this year.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined LBOD Foundation's first 5K run/walk. It was a pleasure coming together as a community, moving our bodies towards greater physical health! 🏃🏾‍♀️💨💪🏽👟🫂🎖️
