NEIGHBORHOOD ALERT!

At approximately 11 a.m. on Thursday July 23rd, an individual was observed casing cars in the 700 block of North Rockwell Street. The same individual then entered a property illegally via an alley gate in the block between Rockwell and Waushtenaw. Nothing was stolen, but it appears that this person may be looking for items of value in the neighborhood.

SPNA recommends locking your car (NEVER leave valuables inside), securing your garage doors and alley gates, and checking your security cameras regularly. Don't make it easy for potential thieves to access your property!

The individual in question has been reported to CPD. If you see any suspicious individuals or activity on your block, do not approach. Please call 911 immediately with detailed description and location. Help keep our neighborhood safe!

We are NOT fans of the delivery robots that have recently been clogging the sidewalks and parkways in our neighborhood. Now that Logan Square has banned them, it seems that Serve Robotics has targeted Smith Park. What do you think? Please share your opinions with us. Would you be willing to sign an anti-bot petition?
