Youth ACT Chicago is a program that is composed of youth and led by youth. We are sponsored by the Poveda Educational Project. We invite you to join us!

Since the fall of 2019, we began a 2-year project seeking to positively influence policy in Chicago.

Along with , we've been working hard on planning our Youth ACT trip to New York for our most awaited mobility activity on the "Global context of participation and democratic values within the context of the United Nations"; Youth ACT USA has been meeting every week to prepare this experience for Youth ACT around the world, and we are eagerly waiting for their arrival! The seminar will have as its theme: "Participation and Democratic Values in the Global Context"... We're looking forward to seeing everyone in 10 days at The Big Apple! 🍎🗽🏙️

Youth Act Chicago has been hard at work the past few weeks to put together a Thanksgiving event with ! The event is tonight, and we're looking forward to having some fun and sharing a meal together. 🦃🥧🫂 Special thank you to our generous donors for contributing to our meal, raffle prizes, & giveaways! 🎁🧺💝

What a year 2020 has been! Despite all the challenges we faced during this pandemic, we were able to give back to our community... Thanks to our donors, volunteers, and partners!! What have we been up to lately? Youth ACT Chicago dropped off 50 hygiene kits for those experiencing homelessness to Looking Forward to End Homelessness. Their mission: "Envisioning a better future is the first step to empowerment. We turn our backs on homelessness and position ourselves to envision what’s next. We break the cycle of homelessness in Chicago by providing housing and social services that empower individuals to face forward to a new future. We know that connecting people to safe, stable, long-term housing first creates the best platform to address the root causes of homelessness." Today, we also dropped off 50 masks to !! Housing Forward's mission is to transition individuals and families from housing crisis to housing stability. We look forward to growing our partnership with Housing Forward and volunteering whenever needed. Thank you to our donors and small businesses who helped us make this effort possible!!
