Thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend for our May Luncheon at Dover Straits - what an eventful and memorable afternoon!

We were honored to welcome Mr. Brian McDaniel, who delivered an inspiring presentation on the American Red Cross' vital support for our veterans.

The luncheon also marked two very special milestones:
🎉 The celebration of the 62nd anniversary of the MOAA North Shore & Chicago Chapter
🏅 The proud presentation of our 5-Star Level of Excellence Award

It was a day filled with camaraderie, reflection, and recognition of the meaningful work we continue to do together.

This past weekend, the MOAA North Shore & Chicago Chapter hosted our April luncheon at Dover Straits, where we had the privilege of hearing from one of our own members, Col Patricia Klop, USMC (Ret).

Col Klop shared her powerful and personal journey with PTSD, offering insight, resilience, and inspiration to all in attendance.

Our September 2024 luncheon was graced with a presentation from MG James Mukoyama, USA (Ret) on his experiences in Vietnam and how his personal mantra of faith, family, and flag helped him through adversity. He believes this mantra can be used today to help all veterans struggling with invisible wounds such as PTSD and moral injury.

MG Mukoyama is the author of the book, Faith, Family & Flag - Memoirs of an Unlikely American Samurai Crusader.
