🔥F**k DAPL, F**k the Cop Academy: No Pipelines on Stolen Land, Stop Cop City Everywhere!! 🔥

💕ACCESSIBILITY: Masks highly encouraged when in close proximity to others. We will have masks to share. This is an outdoor event at Promontory Point which has some sidewalks and grass. There are some inclines in the park. Public bathrooms available. Seating on the rocks around the bonfire; there will be some chairs provided. 💕

Stop DAPL expansion in Illinois!!

Energy Transfer is attempting to expand and increase capacity for the Dakota Access Pipeline which currently ends in IL. **The Illinois Commerce Commission - specifically Judge Glennon Doyle - hold the power to approve or deny the expansion project - a final ruling after a years long court battle is expected next month.

Corporations and capitalists don’t want us to know what they’re doing — learn more at bit.ly/no-dapl-il and demand that the ICC denies the permit.

No new pipelines, no pipeline expansions, no pipelines on stolen land. We must stop all extraction and expansion of fossil fuel reliance. Shut it down. 💥💥

This is only a mile from the Bad River Band reservation that is suing Enbridge to remove Line 5 from their land!!

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is assisting with an investigation of soil suspected to be contaminated along Enbridge Line 5 south of Ashland.

For over a year, police abolitionists and people struggling against climate and environmental injustice have been resisting through a diversity of tactics - from showing up at decision makers' homes, to canvassing, to disabling construction machinery, and establishing resistance camps to defend the forest.

In a time of increased police militarization against Black and brown people & those who resist state power and a shrinking period of time to prevent ecological collapse, what can we learn from Defend the Atlanta Forest + how can we support? How does the Atlanta struggle connect to local and global struggles for abolition and climate + environmental justice?

Come on out for:

⚡ Tabling for Chicago and IL- area abolitionist & climate justice campaigns

⚡Sessions on the struggle in Atlanta and abolitionist & climate justice fights going on locally right now, with a focus on mobilizing one another to action in these movements
