The SNA Native Plant Sale is next Saturday, June 13 under the Southport Brown Line. We get a lot of comments from neighbors saying they'd love to buy some plants but they don't have a yard. No yard? No problem! Scroll to see how you can join the fun! And stop by the Native Plant Sale on Saturday, June 13 at 9:00am at Low-Line Plaza.

The SNA Native Plant Sale is back! Mark your calendars for June 13 at 9am at Southport Plaza (under the Southport Brown Line Stop). This is your chance to purchase native flowers, grasses and sedges that are suited to our local ecosystem and especially selected for their ability to support pollinators, birds and other wildlife.

The sale empowers the Lakeview community to transform our neighborhood with thriving native flora with flowering perennials, sedges and grasses to fit your landscape—whether it’s sunny, shady or in between.

Mark your calendars for the SNA Spring Community Meeting on Monday, April 27 at 7pm at Uncommon Ground (3800 N. Clark). In addition to discussing the SNA neighborhood priorities and events for the rest of 2026 and holding SNA Board elections, we will hear from representatives from local leaders and offices, including IL State Rep Anne Williams, 44th Ward, Chicago Cubs, Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and the Chicago Board of Education.

Now is also a good time to join or renew your SNA membership so you can participate in any votes during the meeting.

Do you love our neighborhood? Do you want to make sure it remains one of Chicago's best places to live, work and thrive? Please consider joining the SNA Board.

We are now accepting nominations for our Board of Directors. All nominations must be received by April 6, 2026. Nominee qualifications include:

1. Being an SNA member in good standing for at least 90 days

2. Having a demonstrated history of service to the neighborhood, including attendance at SNA community meetings

3. Committing to a three-year term on the SNA Board

4. Participating in at least one Association committee (events, communications, beautification, etc)

In your nomination, please include a resume, the number of years the nominee has lived in the neighborhood, why the nominee is interested in joining the SNA Board and what vision the nominee has for our neighborhood.

The SNA Nominating Committee will review all nominations and present a selected slate of candidates for SNA membership vote at the next SNA Community Meeting on April 20, 2026 at Uncommon Ground.

Don't miss your chance to hear from the IL U.S. Senatorial Candidates at our upcoming Community Meeting this Monday, January 19 at 7:00pm at Uncommon Ground.

In order to facilitate a timely meeting, we are soliciting all questions for the candidates in advance.
