We are proud to share a new study examining the impact of M.T.O. Sufi Psychology® and Tamarkoz® meditation in doctoral pharmacy education.
Published in Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, part of the Nature Portfolio, the longitudinal study followed pharmacy doctoral students through a 15-week course integrating self-knowledge, Sufi Psychology, and Tamarkoz meditation.
The findings showed significant improvements in perceived stress and multiple measures of self-awareness, with benefits that continued five weeks after the course ended.
At the heart of this research is something deeply important to the work of the Sufi Psychology Association: education should not only prepare students for what they will do, but give them the tools to know and strengthen the person doing it.
For future healthcare professionals facing demanding academic and clinical environments, self-knowledge is not separate from professional development. It can be part of it.
We are grateful to see this work contributing to the growing body of research exploring the role of self-knowledge and Tamarkoz® in human well-being.
